Woodview Farmhouse - Guest Testimonials

From time to time, our guests send us an email or write us a postcard to let us know how much they enjoyed staying at Woodview Farmhouse. Here are a few examples from guests who enjoyed there stay at Woodview Farmhouse over the past few months:

Dear Joe and Mary,

We arrived back in the US last night after the easy drive to the Dublin Airport that you promised!  We all are still in awe of your kindness--what a treat to hear you read your story while sipping tea and enjoying your homemade scones, in your welcoming and comfortable home.  I reread the story on the plane.  It's wonderful--and I'm so glad to have the memory of you reading it aloud first.  Joe--thanks so much for pointing us in the right direction for everything we needed to make our last night in Ireland excellent.  Mary--your breakfast sent us off well-fed and content.

Thanks to you both for a wonderful stay in such a wonderful place.  Our only regret is not discovering it earlier in the trip/having more time to explore!

Sincerely,

Lisa and Pat McGovern (and Abby and Emma) Hartford Ct.

Mary and Joe,

I am very late in writing to tell you that we are home and back into our lives. We both appreciated your hospitality and kindness. Our trip was a wonderful one and I think we both had a lot of fun. John admitted to me, upon getting home, that he now has a soft spot in his heart for Ireland and it's people. Hoping you and Mary are both well.  We wish you a busy late summer with visitors.

Good day Joe,

It was good to talk to you again before we left yesterday.  I forgot to ask you, what's your
favorite whiskey?  We can get a number of Irish brands here, so far I like Powers the best. Mollie realy enjoyed your readings of the short stories.

Could Mary forward the recipe for the brown bread in her own time. Regards,

Doug Miron, Michigan

Mary

Very many thanks for looking after my dad and I during our return for the Skerries Road Races in July. It is always exciting to come back to Woodview Farmhouse. When I hear the rooster on waking on my first morning I know we are home. Thanks for the nice cooking and teas etc. We will be back for sure in July 2011 for sure. With love

Victoria and Dave Clarke, Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Dear Joe & Mary,

We're home safe & sound and want to thank you very much for making us comfortable at your place.  You have a very fine B&B and it was good to visit again.  We have looked at our photos and will always remember you both as Pam & I really enjoyed our time with you.  Thank you for the lovely breakfasts, Mary----apparently I have put on a few kilos so I will miss those great breakfasts from the better B&Bs.  Joe, I haven't contacted Matthew Hayden as yet but I hope to in the near future.  I'm sure he'll be very pleased to know he has a fan in the R.o.Ireland.

With our kindest regards

Clem and Pam Kennedy, 2 Bird Street, Bundama, Queensland.

Dear Joe,

Thank you for your help in re-connecting me more members of the Clinton Clan after so many years…….. We have had our first exchange ,and your history of your own family going back to the early 1700s was very interesting. I look forward to many virtual chats in the future.

Best wishes,

James and Karen Clinton, Clinton, Ct, USA.

Hello Mary, Hello Joe,

sorry that we left so fast on Sunday 15th last, we rung the doorbell but nobody was at home... when we checked our documents, we were very surprised, that our flight went earlier as we thought... sorry once more for leaving , we really both have a really  bad
conscience... anyway, we really enjoyed our stay with you both and thank you very much for your hospitality and the very warm welcome... finally I hope my English is not too bad and you understand what we wanted to tell you.... best wishes to you
